Okay let me inform
you about the lesson plan that used to teach in PSUIS-High School Dept.
especially for General Physics...
PSUIS-High School Dept. Bayambang has different format in
making their lesson. Their lessons were written in three ways 5E lesson plan, the semi-detailed and detailed lesson
plan. The 5E lesson plan
is the simplest one, 5E means Engange, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate.
Although this the simplest one, but it was very recommended and useful to
prepare the general physics lesson. I
will tell you how to make or arrange a 5E lesson plan, here it is:
1.
You should give the
head of the lesson plan and do not forget to put the university/school’s logo
like the picture below
2.
Write the
information of that lesson plan in the table
3.
Give the
objectives contents based on your material in teaching
4.
Write the detailed
of subject matter that included the content, concepts, instructional materials,
and references.
5.
Don’t forget to
tell the learning procedure to make you easier in teaching. The learning
procedure contains the routines that the teacher should do in every subject of
teaching and the lesson proper that shows the 5E components.
6.
Give one or some
agreements

Actually my
teacher gave me many examples of 5E lesson plan that made by PSU student
teacher so that I can learn how to arrange it well. The lesson plan is
collected in a book which also contained the reflections and some photos when
they did their practice teaching. I’m very blessed that given a very kind and
friendly mentor like Sir Jerome. Thanks God!

The lesson plan in the Philippines are divided in
different parts. First is the objective, it is your aim or goal to be achieved after the class
discussion. Your objective is divided into three: cognitive or knowledge,
psychomotor or skills and affective or
attitude. Preliminary Activities, this include the prayer, checking of
attendance and review. Presentation
of the lesson, this a time that the teacher presents his or her new lesson.
Next is the discussion where in the
teacher engaged his or her students in learning. Generalization, this is a part
where the students give their own understanding to the new lesson. Not only that but also the summary of the topic. Evaluation, where you
are going to assess the students. This is a part where in you are going to achieved your
objectives. In assessing your students you can use a rubrics. Most of the
teachers use Performance Task to assess the students. Last, the assignment. The
purpose of assignment is to maintain the learning even outside the school.
