Observation in Grade 12

Observation Days

Today is my first day going to school. The Principal School and Mam Agnes guided us to meet our mentor (supervising instructor)  in PSU Integrated School one by one. My mentor's named Mr. Jerome G. Rosario.  He is very multitalented teacher because he teaches General Physics and Physical Education in this school.  He also graduated from PSU and this is the 3rd year for him being a teacher. When I entered to the class he asked me to introduce my self in front of the students.  After that, he pleased me to have a sit behind the students and let me to observe his class.

Based on my observation in General Physics subject that taught by Mr. Jerome G. Rosario for grade 12 STEM, I saw that the teacher already planned the lesson before. And he also told me that he always prepare anything before teaching, he prepared the lesson plan, the materials, the sample problem and the solution, and the assignmets for the students. He always make summary notes about the materials that he will teach in the class. So that he can teach well in the class without reference book and notes. He only brings marker and ruler in the class.

The teacher begins the class by greeting before asking their assignment, or by asking some students to sing a song before learning, or he will directly explains the subject in that day. The teacher explains the subject and giving one of sample problem to solved with the students. The teacher asks some students to answer the sample problem in the board leaded by the teacher.

After giving one sample problem, the teacher will give them assignments to be evaluation in that subject. Besides giving assignments, the teacher also held a quiz at least once in 2 weeks for measure the students’ ability.

Okay that's all my observation in 3 days...
